Dean Gibson would name a reduced bench as injuries limited his options going into his final game as Hibernian boss.

An early siege on the Partick goal would see Eilidh Adams and Lia Tweedie have half-chances to test the goalkeeper, before a pacy counter by Partick would put pressure on the Hibs backline. Notley would do enough to head the ball to safety.

After plenty of encouragement from the travelling faithful, McAlonie would be next in line to try her worth, with her effort from the edge of the area going high and wide of the mark.

With the away fans in plenty of voice, Liana Hinds would unleash a low, swerving effort from 30 yards out. Cunningham in the Partick Thistle goal would see it late, but would nevertheless save comfortably.

With the momentum firmly with the away side, Hibs would open the scoring after 16 minutes. After a fantastic run by McAlonie on the left side saw her marker firmly planted in the plastic turf, Tweedie would be first to strike after a layoff into the area; the rebound would fall to Liana Hinds at the back post, and with Cunningham stranded - the fullback fired high into the centre of the goal.

However, Partick would equalise 10 minutes later. Cara Henderson’s curling effort would have Haaland beaten by fine margins as the ball hit off the inside of the post.

Spurred on by this setback, another Hibs onslaught on the Partick goal would see both Ava Kuyken and Brooke Nunn trying spectacular volleys, geeing up an already lively crowd. Lia Tweedie would have a further header at the back post from a corner go narrowly wide minutes later.

Looking to exploit the wide areas, McAlonie would have another fine run down the left side, which would see the dynamic midfielder cut inside before having an effort saved the Partick goalkeeper. Brooke Nunn would be at the back post to receive but fired her effort high and wide from an acute angle.

The final action of the half would see no further goals.

Hibs would retake the lead early in the second half after just 20 seconds, as an own goal restored the lead for Dean Gibson's side.

Eilidh Adams would continue to bombard the Partick goal, having a pop from outside the area which looked to go in, if not for a last-second stop by the Partick goalkeeper. The resulting corner by Notley had to be stopped similarly, as Kuyken was denied a headed goal from point-blank range.

Adams would have another chance after the hour mark. Finding herself with the ball in the area and with plenty of time and space; the number 9 could have hit her shot first time but opted to take a controlling touch, with her resultant effort hitting the post.

The first change of the afternoon would see Nor Mustafa replace Brooke Nunn after 75 minutes.

Hibs reduced Partick's second-half chances, and with minutes remaining, Daniela Kosinska would see the game out in the goal, replacing Benni Haaland for the final change of the season as she made her fifth appearance for the club.

Full-time would arrive, seeing out Dean Gibson’s final match as Hibernian boss with victory.
