The Hibees came from behind twice to beat the league champions, which confirmed the Club will at least finish fifth this season.
When speaking after the game with Hibs TV, Johnson described his emotions.
“It felt great. Again, we got to hear the best anthem in football, and we know when we get that we’ve beaten a top team.
“This was a big night for us and a big night for the players. They proved to themselves that we can compete. Second half we were outstanding. We changed the shape and moved into a diamond to go man for man with them in the way they build, and we went toe-to-toe with them.
“The second goal we conceded was unlucky, but apart from that we were outstanding. We had a bit of luck with the goalkeeper’s mistake, but we deserved that because of the amount of misfortune we’ve had over the course of the season.
“I’m so proud of everyone today, but we now have a big game on Saturday because we have the opportunity to go above Hearts.”
