By Hibernian FC

Before highlighting arrangements for the upcoming match against Celtic, we would like to apologise to those supporters who were inconvenienced and delayed entering the East Stand before our game on Sunday against Rangers. A review has taken place and measures put in place to ensure there is no reoccurrence of this and we thank you for your patience and understand in this matter.

SUPPORTER BEHAVIOUR

At the Rangers match a further arrest was made for the use of pyrotechnics inside the Stadium. Several incidents are still under review which may lead to retrospective action being taken.

Searching may be a condition of entry and we would ask that you follow the instruction given by Police, Stewards or over the PA system. Once inside the Stadium respect your fellow supporters by taking up your allocated seat for the duration of the game.

Anyone caught throwing objects, causing damage, entering the trackside or field of play, bringing of bottles/cans into the stadium can expect action to be taken. The Club will continue to support the actions of Police Scotland and the Courts in acting against anyone detected carrying out a breach of the Ground Regulations. Sanctions may include an indefinite Club Ban, a Football Banning Order or as we have seen elsewhere recently, a custodial sentence.

In addition, incidents of Unacceptable or Disorderly Conduct by either Clubs Players, Officials, or Supporters may be reported to the SPFL by the Match Delegate.

We ask you to think about your actions, before, during and after the match and please don’t be that person!

TICKETING

Match tickets are only available through the Hibernian Ticket System to existing Hibernian Supporters with a valid purchasing profile who are active on the ticketing system. Tickets can be purchased via the Clubs Ticketing platform at https://www.eticketing.co.uk/hibernianfc/. With the game kicking off at 7.45pm, turnstiles will open at 6.45pm and you are advised to arrive early to avoid any queues at the turnstiles.

TRAVEL

Although some of the restrictions around London Road and the Leith Walk Area for cars and public transport have eased there is still congestion in the area. Currently most major routes into the city centre have some form of road works that could affect your travel time and as a result you are strongly advised to give additional time for your journey to Easter Road.

It should also be noted that Sir Harry Lauder Road will close at 8pm. This will affect anyone who normally uses this route after the match with traffic being diverted via Portobello.

SEGREGATION

Supporters are advised that the route around the rear of the South Stand will be closed before and after the match. In addition, barriers will be in place in Albion Place post-match and spectators are advised to exit via St Clair Street or Hawkhill Avenue.

Finally, please listen to and follow instructions given by Police Scotland, Stewards and over the PA System, before, during and after the match.
