THE LOWDOWN
The Hibees kick-start the month of November with our Viaplay Cup Semi-Final with Aberdeen at Hampden Park; kick-off at 5.15pm on Saturday 4 November.
Nick Montgomery’s side come into this one off the back of two draws in the last week. After sharing the points with league leaders Celtic in a 0-0 draw, we were then held to a 2-2 draw with Ross County at Easter Road on Tuesday evening.

With a quick turnaround between games, our attention now quickly switches to the Viaplay Cup where, after wins over Raith Rovers (2-1) and St Mirren (4-2), the Hibees are just one game away from the Viaplay Cup Final.
This will be our first visit to Hampden in the League Cup since we reached the final against Celtic in 2021.
The Hibees have been involved in many memorable trips to the National Stadium in this competition – read more about some of our famous semi-final victories here!

THE OPPOSITION
Our opponents, Aberdeen FC, are no strangers to the League Cup – having won the trophy six times in their history, the last of which came in 2014.
The Dons beat Stirling Albion (2-1) in the Second Round of the competition before defeating Premiership opposition, Ross County, by the same scoreline in the quarter-finals.
Barry Robson’s side come into this one off the back of a mixed run of form - winning one of their last five matches (all comps). That win came in midweek, beating Motherwell 4-2 at Fir Park with Jamie McGrath (x2), Nicky Devlin and Duk all on target at Fir Park.
Meetings between the two sides at Hampden are few and far between. You have to go back six years, when The Dons beat Neil Lennon’s Hibs side 3-2 in the Scottish Cup Semi-Final back in 2017.

Before that it was 2012, when Garry O’Connor and Leigh Griffiths got the goals in a 2-1 victory over Aberdeen at Hampden.
TEAM NEWS
There are no fresh injury concerns ahead of this one for the Hibees. Dylan Levitt (ankle) and Jojo Wollacott (thigh) both made their first starts for the Club since August in midweek having recovered from injury.

Chris Cadden, Jake Doyle-Hayes and Harry McKirdy will all miss out, whilst Christian Doidge will be closely monitored in the lead-up to the match.
Nick Montgomery will provide a full team news update when he speaks to the media on Friday afternoon.
