Elias Melkersen (Strømsgodset)

Elias Melkersen has hit the ground running back in his home country, Norway.

The 20-year-old has scored twice in his first five matches for Strømsgodset, including a goal on his debut against Lillestrøm, before bagging against FK Molde.

Strømsgodset currently sit 10th in the Eliteserien, with 27 points with seven games remaining in the season.

Ewan Henderson (KV Oostende)

Ewan Henderson has also been benefitting from more regular game time with Belgian side, KV Oostende.

The creative midfielder has scored two goals in five matches and has enjoyed an unbeaten start to his time in the Challenger Pro League.

KV Oostende currently sit 13th in the second-tier of Belgian football.

Nohan Kenneh (Shrewsbury Town)

Defensive midfielder Nohan Kenneh has been a regular starter at Shrewsbury Town this season.

Kenneh has made 11 appearances (all comps) and played the full 90 minutes against Leeds United in a narrow 2-1 defeat in the EFL Cup.

The Salop currently sit 19th in the third-tier of English football.

During his time out on loan, Kenneh was called up to represent the Liberia National Team, making his second cap in a 3-1 defeat against Ghana in September.

Murray Aiken, Josh O’Connor and Kanayo Megwa (Airdrieonians)

Murray Aiken has flourished for cinch Championship side Airdrieonians. The 19-year-old has made 12 appearances so far – featuring predominantly in the middle of midfield – and was named Airdrieonians Player of the Month for September!

Josh O’Connor has also made a positive start to the 2023/24 campaign. The striker has scored three times in 13 appearances for The Diamonds, including goals against Bonnyrigg and Ross County in the Viaplay Cup.

Kanayo Megwa became the third Hibees to join Airdrieonians – signing a loan deal in the middle of September.

The youngster was been named on the bench for the first two matches since he joined, and will likely make his debut during the month of October.

Airdrie currently sit just outside the promotion places – in fifth – with 12 points from their opening seven matches.

Kyle McClelland & Oscar MacIntrye (Queen of the South)

21-year-old defender, Kyle McClelland, has spent the start of the 2023/24 season on loan at Queen of the South.

McClelland has made 11 appearances (all starts) for the cinch League One side and scored the winner against Edinburgh City in a dramatic 2-1 victory at Meadowbank.

Fellow Hibees, Oscar MacIntyre joined Marvin Bartley’s side on loan at the end of August.

The 19-year-old has made four starts for The Doonhamers, who currently sit sixth in League One after eight games.

Dan MacKay (Livingston)

Elsewhere, Dan MacKay has made six appearances for Livingston, mainly making an impact from the bench for the West Lothian outfit.

The 22-year-old made his only start while out on loan this season in Livi’s defeat to Rangers at Ibrox.

Livingston currently sit currently sit 10th in the cinch Premiership with seven points from seven games.

Dylan Tait (Hamilton Academical)

Young midfielder Dylan Tait, who joined Hibs from Raith Rovers in 2021, has been an ever-present while on loan at Hamilton, featuring 13 times for the cinch League One side.

The 21 year-old scored the winner in a 1-0 victory over Montrose in August, with the Accies now sitting joint top of the table after eight games.

Emmanuel Johnson (Austin FC II)

Emmanuel Johnson has spent the majority of 2023 on loan in the United States with Austin FC II.

The winger (left of the below photo) has featured 23 times for the American outfit, scoring once and helping his side reach the semi-finals of the MLS NEXT Pro Western Conference, where they will face Tacoma Defiance on October 8, 2023.

Freddie Owens (Civil Service Strollers)

Elsewhere, Freddie Owens enjoyed a short stint with Civil Service Strollers on an emergency loan.

The 17-year-old got a good taste of senior football, playing the full 90 minutes in a 2-0 defeat against East Kilbride in the Lowland League.
