A Manchester United Select and a Hibernian FC Select will take to the field this weekend to celebrate Gray’s fantastic career.
Gray – who came through the Manchester United Academy system, spending six years at Old Trafford will come up against some of his former team-mates, including Darren Fletcher, Darron Gibson and Wes Brown.
Premier League winners; Danny Simpson and Danny Drinkwater will also turn out for Manchester United, alongside Michael Stewart, Danny Galbraith, and John Rankin who spent time in the United Academy before playing for Hibs.
David Gray went on to make 177 appearances for the Hibees and scored that infamous winning goal in 2016 to end a 114-year wait for Scottish Cup glory. The Scottish Cup-winning captain will be reunited with some of his teammates from that side, including Conrad Logan, Darren McGregor, Marvin Bartley, Fraser Fyvie and James Keatings.
Former Hibees Scott Brown and Steven Whittaker will also pull on the Hibs jersey again, with Nick Montgomery leading the home side in a player-coach role.
