Our young side, which was mainly made up of Under-18 players, fell behind within the opening 15 minutes.
That didn’t deter Guillaume Beuzelin’s side, who pushed for an equaliser, and finally found one in the second half.
Malik Zaid went on a mazy run down the left hand-side before cutting the ball back in the box. It fell straight to Dean Cleland who made no mistake.
Just minutes later Cleland was involved again as the Hibees had a golden opportunity to go ahead. The midfielder played a ball over the top to Josh Landers who tried to chip the on-rushing goalkeeper, but his effort went wide.
Hibs were left to rue that missed chance as two minutes later, Livingston went ahead.
In the final few moments of the game, Livingston found their third. The goal came from a set piece with the final touch coming off young Hibs defender Jamie Bulloch.
Our youngsters have three more cinch Reserve Cup group matches left with the top two from the group progressing into the semi-finals.
