In their last outing, our Under-18s were beaten 4-2 by Aberdeen. Dean Cleland and Jamie McMurdo scored the goals for the young Hibs side but a strong showing from the Dons secured all three points.

That was the second post-split fixture for Hibs’ Under-18s who currently sit sixth in the league table with 27 points from 22 games.

Opponents

Kilmarnock’s youngsters have been flying high this season and have the title in their sights sitting top of the U18 CAS Elite Youth League.

They’ve picked up 45 points from 23 games and are looking to hold off potential challenges from Aberdeen and Rangers.

Since the split, Killie’s youngsters have played three games; losing to both Rangers (3-1) and Aberdeen (3-2) and beating Celtic (4-2).

Previous Meeting

Hibs have faced Kilmarnock twice already this season – winning one and losing one.

When the two sides last met in February, Hibs put in a magnificent performance and ran out 4-2 winners. Dean Cleland was the hat-trick hero on the night, with Harry Wright also on target.

In November 2023, though, Kilmarnock ran out 3-0 winners at HTC. A goal in the opening 45 with a further two in the second was enough to give the visitors a comfortable victory against a youthful U18 Hibernian side.
