The third Edinburgh Derby of the 2023/24 SWPL season takes place on Friday evening as we take on Hearts at the Oriam.

THE LOWDOWN

The Derby clash kicks off at 7.30pm on Friday 12th April.

Both teams come into Friday’s game following a short break over the international window.

Hibs started off their post-split fixtures with a 2-0 victory over Partick Thistle at Meadowbank, before falling to a 2-1 defeat to league leaders Rangers at Broadwood.

Jorian Baucom opened the scoring in the first half, before two quick-fire Rangers strikes turned the game on its head late on.

Hearts comfortably bested Partick Thistle in their last fixture, as Eva Olid’s outfit ran out 3-0 winners at Petershill Park.

Friday's hosts currently occupy 4th-place in the SWPL table – sitting three points above 5th-place Hibs.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Hibs are the current holders of the Capital Cup after twice defeating Hearts in the league this season.

The first meeting at Tynecastle Park ended in a 1-0 victory for Grant Scott’s side and was backed up by another win in November.
