THE LOWDOWN

After beating Forfar Athletic in the Fourth Round of the competition, we now face another trip North to play Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the next round.

Christian Doidge scored the only goal of the game in Forfar to secure safe passage into Fifth Round back in January.

We come into this one off the back of a narrow 2-1 defeat to Celtic in midweek. The Hibees produced an extremely spirited and brave performance, but we conceded two penalties which condemned us to defeat.

Dylan Levitt scored his first goal for the Club in midweek, with Nathan Moriah-Welsh also impressing on his first start for the Club on a night were there was plenty to be positive about, and Nick Montgomery will be hoping to build on that performance this weekend.

TEAM NEWS

Following our clash with Celtic in midweek, Nick Montgomery will assess the lads fitness and recovery ahead of our trip to Inverness on Saturday.

Emiliano Marcondes missed out on Wednesday after picking up a slight knock, but is back in training with the First Team and in contention for Saturday.

Chris Cadden is also in training and is building up his match fitness.

Unfortunately, Jake-Doyle Hayes and Josh Campbell are unavailable due to injury whilst Paul Hanlon is recovering from illness. Owen Bevan is still with AFC Bournemouth continuing his injury rehabilitation.

Rocky Bushiri is also unavailable for selection due to his participation with DR Congo at the African Cup of Nations.

THE HOSTS

Inverness CT come into this one off the back of a mixed run of form, having won three of their six matches in 2024.

Duncan Ferguson’s side reached this stage of the competition, following victories over Cowdenbeath (2-0) and Broomhill (4-0) in the third and fourth rounds.

The last time the two sides met was in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals back in February 2020, with the Hibees running out 5-2 winners at Easter Road.

Before that, the Hibees overcame Inverness on route to lifting the trophy back in 2016. After a 1-1 draw at Easter Road, the Hibees booked their place in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup after Anthony Stokes bagged a brace in the quarter-final replay at the Caledonian Stadium.
