Jorian Baucom levelled the scoring after Natasha Flint’s opener. A Caitlin Hayes header saw Celtic regain their lead, before Flint scored again to put the visitors out of reach.
With an unchanged XI from last weekend, the only noteworthy team news was Brighton and Hove Albion loanee Comfort Erhabor making the bench for the first time.
Building on the confidence gained from last week’s cup victory against Glasgow City, Hibs would weather an early storm from Celtic. However, the promising start would end abruptly.
Despite containing Celtic and pressing well up the field, Flint opened the scoring. Slipping past the Hibernian backline, the Liverpool loanee dinked over Nina Wilson to put the away side ahead after 15 minutes.
Despite going behind, Hibs would maintain pressure on the away side and Baucom would grab a much-deserved equaliser after 24 minutes.
A brilliant recovery from Michaela McAlonie saw the Hibees regain possession deep in the Celtic half. With the ball quickly turning hands to Baucom, our number 5 would unleash a powerful shot that cannoned in off the crossbar to much applause from the packed stand at Meadowbank.

With the game becoming an end-to-end affair, Hayes would restore Celtic’s lead after half an hour. An inch perfect delivery from Menglu Shen from a free kick found its way towards the towering centre-back, who diverted a looping header past Wilson.
Mya Christie and Shannon McGregor both continued to find ways back into the game via long-range shots that troubled Celtic ‘keeper Kelsey Daugherty.
Before the end of the first half, Celtic would grab a third as Flint poked home at the near post - despite Ellis Notley’s best attempts to divert away the ball away on the line.
Continuing to make her mark after returning from injury, Tegan Bowie would almost reduce the deficit from an acute angle. After aking a weaving, driving run forward, Bowie’s effort from the byline came very close to troubling Daugherty.
Despite a late second half rally which saw Baucom gifted with a couple of additional opportunities from the edge of the area, Hibs could not find a way back into the game and Celtic secured all three points.
