After a tightly contested 3-1 defeat to Celtic, The Gaffer touched on the grit his squad showed:

“We've gradually been finding our way and fighting together and working really hard,” he told Hibs TV.

“But there are still areas of the game today where we need to do a bit better if we're honest with ourselves - and that might include myself and the staff.

"We've just got to look at a difficult day and take what we can; take the learnings from it and move on.”

Scott also spoke on the tactical changes he made in an attempt to turn the game around:

“We had to try and change a few things today when we're going in at half-time 3-1 down.

"It was good to stick Eilidh on again today and see her and Jorian working as a pair. Ultimately we were chasing the game.

"We were just trying to change the momentum, swing something in our favour that we could latch onto and push on. But it wasn't to be today. That's disappointing, but I can't fault the players' efforts."

Jorian Baucom’s impressive first-half finish takes her to 20 league goals for the season - which has her sitting as the league top goalscorer. Scott commented on her importance to the squad:

“I think she's got more to give, if I'm honest. We have a lot of belief in her, she's done really well adjusting to a new climate, new regime, all the rest.

"I even think there was a couple of moments later in the game - that with a bit more belief in herself - she might have gone through and scored another. But it's a credit to her how many goals she's scored. She's helped us win points this season.

"She's a massive part of this squad and we're lucky to have her at the minute.”

With Hibs travelling to Petershill Park next Sunday to play Partick Thistle, Scott stated the squad will not dwell on last month’s Sky Sports Cup exit:

“I’ll not put too much focus on it. I didn't think that was a true representation of who we are on the day. There's probably multiple factors in that, we have to go with more belief this time. Not that we went there without belief last time, but it didn't seem to manifest in our performance.

“We probably won’t look back at that so much because it was very negative. We’ll be much more positive going into the game. It's an opponent we can give a better game to.

"They've had a great result again today [0-0 draw versus Rangers], all credit to them. But we'll be on the front foot next week, hopefully with a better mindset going into that game, and move on from there.”
