Shannon Leishman spoke of the pride and honour she felt every time she pulled on a Hibs jersey – as she made her 150th appearance for the club.

Speaking after our 1-1 draw at Petershill Park against Partick Thistle – a result that means Hibs remain 1 point above our nearest league challengers – Leishman said reaching the milestone was a personal highlight for her.

“It’s a massive honour and a privilege to play for this club. Every week is a new challenge for us all, but to make one-hundred-and-fifty appearances – I’m proud of myself for that.”

As a Hibs fan, Leishman also spoke briefly about what she considers to be some of her favourite highlights in a Hibs shirt.

“Probably every derby win to be honest. I think any Hibs fan would say that!”

On the game, in which she made a substitute appearance, Leishman said the team had hoped for a more positive result.

“It was disappointing. We came here wanting the three points. To lose the goal in the manner we did wasn’t great.”

But looking towards a double bill against Rangers in the league and Scottish Cup – Leishman said the team could take positives from recent matches.

“We’ve got to take confidence going into these games. These games aren’t easy, but we can look back on games like these and reflect on the negatives. We’ll go into the next game full of confidence and ready to go!”
