Nick Montgomery believes this weekend’s game against Dundee is a “real opportunity” for his side as we move ever closer to the split.
The Hibees, who are in pursuit of a top six finish, currently sit seventh, one place and five points behind Dundee.
When speaking to Hibs ahead of this weekend’s game, our Head Coach detailed the importance of this fixture.
“They’re all massive games. It’s at home, we have a good run of games at home in the last eight games before the split, so that’s a real opportunity for us.
“I’m hoping there’s a really good crowd there tomorrow to get behind the players because we really need that.
“Tomorrow is a really important game. Dundee are where they are because they deserve to be there, but we’ve got a real opportunity tomorrow to take the game to them, to try and win the game.”

When the two sides last met at Easter Road, the Hibees dominated the proceedings but only managed to come away with a point.
“The last game against them at home was a frustrating afternoon where we had a lot of the ball, a lot of chances, and a lot of shots, but ultimately you have to put the ball in the back of the net, and that’s something that we have to be accountable for,” said Montgomery.
“We know we have to be more clinical and with the players we’ve got in now, we should have the opportunity to score goals in every game.”
