“Our target was just to get through to the next round, if we put in a good performance then that was a bonus. We want to get as far as we can in these competitions and hopefully bring a trophy home.”
McAlonie scored her first goals of the season in the tie, netting four in total. She said:
“I’m absolutely delighted to get four goals and help the team out as much as possible, I wanted to add more goals to my game. Hopefully, I can now kick on and do it in the league as well.”

She spoke on the importance of returning strongly following the winter break:
“It’s hard coming back after three weeks, but the girls have dug in well today - we’re through to the next round and that was our main focus.”
Grant Scott’s side have been racking up the goals as of late, McAlonie said:
“Going forward you can see that we’re a threat and now we’re starting to take our chances. We’ve got a real fluency amongst the team, and everyone’s contributing. It shows how hard we’ve been working on and off the pitch.”
