At the age of 17, Paul made his first appearance for the Club – starting at left-back in a 3-0 victory against Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Fourth Round of the Scottish Cup.

That was the start of Paul’s incredible career in Hibs green and white. The teenager scored his first goal for the Club the following season, netting the decisive goal in a 3-2 victory over Falkirk at Easter Road back in August 2008.

The Edinburgh-born centre-back cemented his place in the starting XI in the 2010/11 campaign and has been one of the first names on the team sheet ever since.

Paul currently sits fifth on the Hibernian FC all-time record appearance holders list, totalling 556 games for the Club.

In that time, Paul has scored 27 times – including THAT vital equalising goal at Tynecastle against Hearts to rescue a replay in the 2015/16 Scottish Cup.

The rest, of course, is history – with Paul lifting the Scottish Cup a few months later, ending a 114-year wait to bring the historic trophy back to Leith.

Paul was appointed Club Captain in July 2021 and celebrated his 550th match for the Club earlier this season.
