We are back on the road this weekend as we travel to Rugby Park to take on Kilmarnock in the cinch Premiership – kick-off at 3pm on Saturday 27 January, 2024.
Speaking ahead of the tie, Obita is determined to get back to winning ways following our defeat to Rangers in midweek.
He told Hibs TV: “We are all looking forward to the weekend after a disappointing result midweek, but we are hoping we can turn that around with a positive result.
“We can’t dwell on Wednesday night now, at times we were good against Rangers, but unfortunately we didn’t get the result and that is what matters. Hopefully, we can put this right at the weekend.”
Obita showed his versatility in midweek, filling in at centre-back with Paul Hanlon (illness) and Rocky Bushiri (international duty) both unavailable for selection. Obita admitted that he relished the challenge of the new role and is expecting another tough task on Saturday.
“It was something new for me," Jordan explained.
“I have played as part of back three at my previous clubs a couple of times and I enjoyed the experience.

“I am 30-years old now, so in a couple of years in the future - once my legs slows down a bit – I might try and transform myself into a centre-back.
“We expect them (Kilmarnock) to be very direct. We found out that they are one of the most direct teams in the league, so we need to match them physically and mentally – if we do that then we have the ability to cause them problems.”
