Wilson popped up with a first half penalty save – her second in Hibs colours – at an important point in the match, contributing greatly to the result.

“It’s very pleasing all round," the 'keeper told Hibs TV. "In terms of the penalty save, that’s what I’m there for - to help the team out.

"I have faith in myself in those moments, so it’s very pleasing to go on and keep the clean sheet as well. It was a very good all round team performance.

"I think as a ‘keeper you need those moments. Luckily, we defended well after that. It’s a credit to everyone really but I’m always prepared for penalty moments."

With a steady run of fixtures from now until the season’s climax – Wilson was determined to stake her claim for the number 1 jersey.

“We’ve got a really solid identity that’s starting to come together now. We had that little blip with Partick Thistle – sometimes that happens in football – but the main thing about today was showing that our confidence hasn’t been affected.

"We’re looking forward to the next set of fixtures and building on our top six status.”
