After securing a 5-0 victory against Motherwell on Sunday – Scott bemoaned the lack of preparation available when looking ahead to the next fixture – but admitted such circumstances could aid his players come the latter stages of the season.
“The quick turnaround has given us minimal time to prepare the players, but we’ve faced United a couple of times already this season – so it will be all about us and the kind of game we approach it with.
“It’s been a while since we’ve had a midweek game to contend with. Three games across the eight days are difficult to manage, but we’ll rotate a couple of positions on Wednesday. It’s good practice for the post-split when it gets a bit hectic.”

Scott also acknowledged the difficulty in selecting his squad for tomorrow’s game, given his side’s recent form and fully fit squad.
“It’s certainly difficult. When all the players are available it gives me a headache! But we’re in a healthy position and the squad’s coming back together with a couple in the squad returning to full fitness. Barring Rachael Boyle and Rosie Livingstone we’re back to full strength.”
Playing out a 0-0 draw in Dundee in August, before romping to an impressive 7-0 victory in the Sky Sports Cup in November, Scott said it would be up to his players to determine the outcome of this encounter.
“This game will be difficult to predict because you couldn’t have two opposite matches. The first game was early in our season, and we weren’t quite at our best on the night. We were fortunate to get a good result in the cup match. We’re in a good flow just now so if we can impose ourselves early in the game, hopefully, we’ll find the net at some point.
“We’ve accumulated a good number of points now. We still want more. We’ll look to win the game, but we’ll need to play well.”
