Hibs return to action this Sunday at Meadowbank following an international break.
“It’s been a useful period for us”, Scott told Hibs TV.
“There were a few signs of tiredness and mental tiredness, so it’s been good to reset and give the players some time off and come back fully charged up.”
Leah Eddie returned to HTC earlier in the week following her call-up to the Scotland squad, Scott said:
“I’m delighted for Leah, I think her form and consistency this year has been exceptional. She’s an exceptional player and I think she’s still got a way to go. For me, it’s good recognition for her consistency over the season for us.

“It’s good for the club, historically we’ve provided lots of players for the national team, so Leah’s just the next in line. I’m thoroughly chuffed for her.”
After making her Women's First Team debut in October, Rowena Armitage has been called up to the Scotland U-16 squad. Scott was full of praise for the youngster:
“It's a great reward for her. She came in at a tricky part of the season when we needed her. She came into training and grabbed the opportunity. It’s a reward for her efforts, she does a lot of training with the academy, comes in an extra day now with us - any other periods where she’s not at school she can come in.
“It’s great recognition for a player who continues to work really hard, we hope she’ll be with us for a long time and it’s another good news story for us.”
Scott spoke on Hibernian’s fixture against Rangers this Sunday at Meadowbank:
“We’re going in and we’ll see where we are. We’ve progressed a lot during the season, we’ve had a few disappointing moments but I think that’s normal for a team that’s in a bit of transition.
“We’ve got a really tough test, Rangers haven’t been beaten this season, but there’s a first time for everything and we’ll definitely be giving it a go on Sunday.”
The last time the side’s met was a day to forget at Ibrox, Scott said:
“If you look for excuses you’ll always find them, we had a bad day that day and I don’t think it was a great reflection on us as a team. We spoke, the squad and the staff, as a collective after that match and as much as we believe there were a few factors in there that didn’t help us on the day, we let ourselves down.
“But it’s not who we are, if the result goes a difficult way at the weekend hopefully it wouldn’t be by the same scoreline”, Scott joked.
“We don’t think that’s a true reflection of the team we are and how competitive we can be against the top teams just now.”
