Grant Scott spoke after our 3-0 defeat to Rangers at Meadowbank.

A brace from Mia McAuley and a second half finish from Rio Hardy saw Rangers pick up all three points.

Despite the result, Grant remained upbeat about his sides performance.

“Our discipline, work-rate and overall game was good; we had a good energy about us. Ultimately in the critical moments Rangers have showed a slightly better level and unfortunately, we’ve not taken our opportunities.”

With a Scottish Cup quarter-final tie verus the same opposition next week at the same venue, the gaffer called on supporters to turn up at Meadowbank before the men face Rangers at Easter Road.

“We might have a different gameplan, but it will be a good occasion.

It’s also a bit of a double header for the club. With extra fans kicking around the area, get yourselves in and watch this game!”

“Playing Rangers back-to-back is a tough ask, they’re a quality side, but if we could get a bit of backing – I believe we can give them a really tough match. If that extra backing did arrive, it would give the girls that extra spur to go on and pull off an amazing result.”
