Hibernian Development Squad drew 1-1 with Livingston at HTC in their latest cinch Reserve League fixture.
Nick Montgomery used Tuesday afternoon’s game to get valuable minutes into a number of First Team players with Chris Cadden, Paul Hanlon, Lewis Stevenson, Nectar Triantis, Jair Tavares, and Eliezer Mayenda all featuring.

Similarly to Hibs, there were a number of Livingston First Team players also starting in the game.
As expected, the Hibees dominated the proceedings, dominating possession and creating a number of half chances.
One of the best chances came just after the half hour mark. Mayenda cut in from the right hand-side and went past two before his effort from the edge of the area was well saved by the ‘keeper.
Despite creating those openings, it was Livingston that took the lead in the 44th minute completely against the run of play. Hibs lost the ball just inside their own half and the visitors countered with Steven Bradley making no mistake from just inside the area.

Hibs continued the second half in the same vein, creating openings and trying to break down Livingston’s low block.
There were a number of crosses that flashed across the Livingston box, whilst Jair Tavares and Mayenda both came incredibly close to finding an equaliser.
The Hibees almost drew level in bizarre fashion from a corner kick, but the set piece was cleared off the line.
Livingston did have a chance to make it 2-0 late on in the half as they ran through one-on-one, but Murray Johnson did excellently to stay big and stop the striker from lifting the ball over him.
Hibs’ relentless pressure eventually paid off in the 92nd minute as Jacob Blaney grabbed a deserved equaliser.
