Adam Le Fondre admitted the whole team were extremely disappointed not to come away from Ross County with three points.

An excellent second half turnaround saw the Hibees come from behind to take the lead, only for all the positive to be dashed away in the final seconds of the game.

When speaking to Hibs TV after the game, Alf spoke of his frustration.

“It’s a tough one to take, conceding in the last minute off the back of a wrong decision for the throw-in. We switched off at the back stick and they’ve scored a goal.

“With the second half performance we should be seeing that game out. Everyone is really disappointing with the way we finished the game.”

The striker came on at half-time and changed the game, leading the line and having a number of opportunities.

“Putting me up-front and Emi in the whole helped us find a bit more space in-behind,” he explained.

“We managed to get the wingers and the full-back into the game and created more opportunities off the back of it.

“My goal has been a bit of a long-time coming. I had a feeling that a goal was coming, and I said at half-time that I’d nick one. I had a sighter early on when I tried to chip the ‘keeper, then Joe’s great ball fell to me in the box, and I put us in-front. It would’ve been nice if that was a winner.

“We were decent in the second half and created chances, but we’re all disappointed that we’ve thrown it away really.”
