Nectar Triantis is under no illusions of how big Saturday’s game against Livingston is for Hibernian FC’s aims this season.
The Hibees are chasing down a top six finish and currently sit one point and one place behind Dundee in sixth.
With just four games to go before the split, Triantis stressed the importance of collecting all three points on Saturday.
“Every game at this stage of the season is crucial. You can never overlook a game or an opponent as every game is as important as the next.
“This is a big fixture, and we need to get all three points at home.
“Everyone knows we should’ve got a better result on Wednesday, but these things can happen, and you have to carry on fighting. We’re looking forward to the game at the weekend.”
Over the last few weeks, the young Aussie has been starting in the ‘number 6’ role in the Hibs midfield.
As a youngster, Nectar grew up as a midfielder before a growth spurt saw him moved into the defensive line.
He explained what it’s been like to be back playing in that role.
“It’s been good,” he smiled. “I’ve enjoyed it and feel comfortable in there.”
“It comes from the gaffer showing trust and belief in me to play there. So full credit to him for that.”
