The wee Hibees fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of Hamilton Academical U18s on Friday night at New Douglas Park.
Darren McGregor was without several of his regular starting XI, meaning he fielded a youthful side on the night in Hamilton.
The match was our first game of the CAS Elite League post-split, with the Hibees successfully booking our place in the top six in February.
Chances were few and far between in the opening 45 with the defences cancelling each other out, as both teams looked most threatening from set-pieces.
In the end, the hosts edged the second period and found a crucial match-winning goal – 15 minutes from time to claim a narrow 1-0 victory.
The wee Hibees are next in action on Friday 29 March as they host Aberdeen at HTC from 6pm.
