LEWIS VAUGHAN

28-year-old Lewis Vaughan signed his first professional contract with Raith Rovers after turning 16 and has since gone on to play over 240 matches for the Kirkcaldy outfit.

The prolific striker has scored 16 goals (all comps) this season and has been a big part of Raith Rovers title challenge this season – with the Rovers currently sitting joint top of the cinch Championship with Dundee United.

Vaughan – a life-long Hibernian FC fan and former season ticket holder – admits the opportunity to play against his boyhood Club is an experience he will relish.

He told the Edinburgh Evening News: "It was a dream to play for Hibs growing up, especially at Easter Road. That's probably not going to happen now so the next best thing is to play against them in a testimonial. It was the one team I wanted to play against (for this match) so it's brilliant that they've agreed to it.

"I'm a Hibs fan. All my family and friends are Hibs fans as well. Some of them are still season ticket holders. As a kid I was a season ticket holder."

TEAM NEWS

For the hosts, former Hibee and Raith Rovers Manager – Ian Murray – is in line to pull on his boots for the testimonial match.

Whilst Nick Montgomery is likely to use the testimonial match as an opportunity to get a closer look at some of the youngsters in the Hibs Development Squad  and get some minutes into the legs of First Team players who have received limited game-time in recent weeks.
