We’re back at Easter Road this weekend as we take on Celtic in the William Hill Premiership – read the full match preview below!
THE LOWDOWN
The Hibees are back at home this Saturday lunchtime as we entertain league-leaders Celtic at Easter Road; kick-off at 12:30pm on Saturday 22 February.
We come into this one off the back of a 12-match unbeaten run, stretching back to early December to when we last played Celtic.
That run of form includes four draws and eight wins (all comps), lifting us up to fifth in the league table and within touching distance of a European qualification place.
In our last five league games – we’ve picked up nine points in total, beating Motherwell and Aberdeen and taking a point off Ross County, Rangers and most recently, St Mirren.

TEAM NEWS
Joe Newell and Marvin Ekpiteta have both returned to full training during the week and will be assessed ahead of the weekend.
The Hibees will be without Alasana Manneh due to suspension, whilst Hyeokkyu Kwon is ineligible to play against his parent club.
David Gray will provide a full team news update when he speaks to the media on Friday afternoon.

THE VISITORS
Celtic come into this one off a dramatic Champions League clash in Germany in midweek. The Hoops held Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw at the Allianz Arena, however, they bowed out of the competition losing (3-2) on aggregate.
Domestically, Brendan Rodger’s side lead the way at the top of the William Hill Premiership table, with a 13-point cushion over Rangers in second place.
This will be the fourth meeting between the teams this season. The Hoops have won all three meetings so far this campaign, with our last win against the Glasgow side coming in May 2023.
