Hibernian Women goalkeeper Rowena Armitage has re-joined Montrose on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season.

Armitage is a product of the Hibernian Girls Academy and made her Hibernian, and senior, debut last season versus Aberdeen in the Sky Sports Cup last 16.

The 16-year-old keeper joined the Gable Endies on an emergency loan in September 2024, impressing in place of the injured Lauren Perry and earning an extension at Links Park until January 2025.

A successful first half of the 2024/25 season has seen Rowena called up for multiple Scotland Women’s Under-17 camps, as well as being selected in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League Team of the Week in October for a top shot-stopping performance versus Partick Thistle.

With Erin Clachers ineligible, Rowena was included on the Hibs bench versus Glasgow City on 26 January. Now, she will rejoin Montrose and continue her development until the end of the campaign.
