Hibs Under-19s will host Irish side Shamrock Rovers in a behind-closed-doors friendly this Wednesday (16 July).

Darren McGregor’s side will face the Rovers at HTC in a training match as part of their pre-season preparations for the upcoming campaign.

The youngsters played their first pre-season match last week as an Under-19s squad, taking on Sheffield United in York, England.

The wee Hibees fell to a tight 1-0 defeat in a competitive contest against the Premier League Professional Development League 2 outfit.

This fixture followed a handful of Development Squad friendlies – in which a large number of Under-19s players appeared – which included wins over Haddington Athletic and Berwick Rangers.

Unfortunately, Wednesday’s match is being played behind-closed-doors and is not open to the public.
