Hibs Women made a strong start to pre-season by defeating Boroughmuir Thistle at Meadowbank Stadium by seven goals to nil.
Grant Scott had only a few enforced omissions to his Starting XI, with new permanent arrivals Hannah Jordan and Caley Gibb both starting – while fellow new recruit Tiree Burchill featured off the bench.
Hibs Women: Armitage (Schumacher 46’), Boyle (Doran-Barr 46’), L Taylor, Hunter (I Taylor 64’), Gibb (Papadopoulos 46’), Grant (Ramsay 64’), McAlonie, Notley, Livingstone, Morrison (Burchill 72’), Jordan

An impressive start saw the Hibees lead by three inside the opening 20 minutes.
Rosie Livingstone was tumbled over in the opposition box inside five minutes, allowing new forward Jordan to expertly convert from the penalty spot into the top-right corner.
Eight minutes later, Livingstone had a goal of her own. The forward got stuck in at close range to prod home the Hibees’ second of the afternoon.

A third goal arrived on 17 minutes as Jordan snapped up her brace. The attacker let fly with a terrific strike that gave Thistle’s trialist keeper little chance of keeping the ball out.
Kirsty Morrison snagged a goal of her own on 33 minutes, turning in a low finish from inside the area after meeting Rachael Boyle’s well-placed cross.
A fifth came before the break as centre-back Siobhan Hunter excellently turned in a wide free-kick with an inch-perfect glancing header.

The visitors struggled to push beyond the halfway line to threaten the Hibs defence often, but a chance fell to a trialist before half-time – though young keeper Rowena Armitage was at hand to hold the attacker’s looping strike on goal.
Half-time brought with it a triple change for the Hibees, with Grant Scott opting to switch out Armitage, Gibb and Boyle for Noa Schumacher, Stacey Papadopoulos and Lauren Doran-Barr.
With 53 minutes gone, midfielder Ciara Grant stabbed in Hibs’ sixth of the encounter from point-blank range after following up an initial effort on the rebound.

Just past the hour mark, Livingstone grabbed her second of the day after finishing from close range to round out the goals.
While the goals dried up for Hibs, further changes occurred as Grant Scott looked to get as many minutes in his players' legs as possible.
Goalscorers Hunter and Grant replaced by 16-year-old pair Jessica Ramsay and Isla Taylor, while Burchill made her first appearance in green and white when she replaced Morrison on 72 minutes.
