The Hibernian Development Squad return from their summer break to take on Haddington Athletic in their first pre-season friendly!
The match will kick-off at 7pm on Tuesday (1 July) at Millfield Park, Haddington.
The Lowdown
The Dev Squad head into their first of two friendlies this week – with Tuesday evening’s match preceding Saturday afternoon’s clash against Berwick Rangers.
These clashes will provide the youngsters with essential preparation ahead of a season which sees the team once more enter the KDM Evolution Trophy (Scottish Challenge Cup).
Hibs Under-19s head coach Darren McGregor will lead the Dev Squad team into the match.
The team will largely be made up of players who will play in our Under-19 squad, who won the CAS Elite Under-18 League last season under McGregor’s stewardship.

The Hosts
Just like the Hibs Dev Squad, this is Haddington’s first taste of pre-season action ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 season.
Managed by Scott Bonar, Haddington won promotion to the sixth tier during his first season in charge (in 2021/22) and have consistently finished mid-table in the East of Scotland Premier Division since.
The Hi-His finished eighth in the 16-team Premier Division last season, securing 43 points from 30 matches.
