The Hibees return to Easter Road this weekend with a massive game against Dundee United – read the match preview below!

THE LOWDOWN

David Gray’s side will be looking to bounce back quickly with the visit of Dundee United on Saturday; kick-off at 3pm on Saturday 3 May.

The Hibees' remarkable 17-game unbeaten league run came to an end last time out, with a narrow 1-0 defeat to Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

Kevin Nisbet’s late strike was the difference between the sides on the day and tightened up proceedings in the battle for third place.

The Hibees currently occupy that third spot, however, we are level on points with Aberdeen – but have a superior goal difference.

Saturday’s visitors are also in close contention and are just three points behind with four games of the season remaining.

TEAM NEWS

David Gray will speak to the media on Friday and will provide a full injury update to the press.

Lewis Miller missed our trip to Aberdeen with a knock and will be monitored ahead of this one.

Joe Newell, Elie Youan and Rudi Molotnikov were also unavailable due to injury and this game will likely come too soon for them.

THE VISITORS

Dundee United have had an impressive 2024/25 campaign on their return to the Scottish top-flight.

Jim Goodwin’s side have remained consistently in the top-six for the majority of the season, and finished the regular season fixtures with a flurry – beating St Johnstone, Ross County and Hearts by the same 1-0 scoreline.

The Tangerine’s tasted defeat in their first match of the split, losing 5-0 at home to Celtic as the Glasgow side were crowned league champions at Tannadice.

Matches between Hibs and Dundee United have produced plenty of goals and drama this season!

Dundee United scored twice in injury time to turn the game on its head and win 3-2 back in October, before Sam Dalby scored a late penalty to draw 1-1 at Easter Road a few weeks later.

The Hibees got their revenge last time out, however, with late strikes from Kieron Bowie and Junior Hoilett in February.
