The Lowdown
The Hibees remain top of the ScottishPower Women's Premier League heading into Sunday's derby after a feisty battle in EH7.
Grant Scott and his side welcomed Motherwell to Meadowbank Stadium on Wednesday night and, on an atypically sunny evening, Hibs prevailed on home turf over Paul Brownlie's outfit.
Kathleen McGovern tapped in the opener before Kirsten Reilly headed in a second to secure a 2-0 victory against the South Lanarkshire club.
The result sees Hibs extend their unbeaten run to three as they look to hit the heights of their previous 16-game streak.
Results elsewhere, combined with our win, sees Glasgow City and Rangers currently sit three and five points behind the girls at the top of the standings, respectively.
The Hosts
With four matches remaining, Hearts sit fifth in the SWPL table on 56 points.
After a strong display at home earned Eva Olid's side a goalless draw versus Glasgow City two weekends ago, they travelled to New Douglas Park during the recent midweek round of fixtures.
An own goal gifted Hearts the lead against the reigning champions, but Amy Gallacher fired in a powerful volley to equalise before Maria McAneny scored in stoppage-time to seal the win for Celtic.
Derby results have gone the way of the Hearts so far this campaign, with Hearts earning three victories from four meetings.
