Hibs Under-18s host Aberdeen on Friday evening as the boys look forward to lifting the CAS Elite Youth League trophy!

Kick-off for the wee Hibees’ final league match of a fantastic title-winning 2024/25 campaign is at 6pm on Friday 16 May at HTC.

The Lowdown

Darren McGregor’s side secured the league title last week with a thumping 4-0 win over Kilmarnock at Ayrshire College.

Jamie McMurdo fired in from range and Josh McDonald curled in a second direct from a corner to put the wee Hibees two in front.

Dean Cleland followed up the strong early start with a brace to ensure the team’s league champions status.

The dominant victory extended the wee Hibees' unbeaten league run to an incredible 15 matches.

The Visitors

Aberdeen are currently fourth in the CAS Elite Under-18 League with one league match remaining.

They have the opportunity to rise to third on the final day as St Mirren, who are two points above the Dons, have completed their league season already.

However, the Cormack Park club also could drop to fifth as Kilmarnock remain just one point behind them and play sixth-place Queen’s Park on the final day.

The Reds have struggled for form in recent weeks, taking just four points from a possible 24 since the end of March.

Head-To-Head

Hibs are unbeaten against Aberdeen this season; winning three from three against last season’s champions.

Josh Landers and Luke Davidson were on target as the Dons were defeated 2-1 in our second league match of the campaign back in August.

A 4-2 victory at HTC came in November, with an early McDonald double followed up by Cleland and Landers.

Our most recent meeting with the Reds ended in a 1-0 post-split victory at Cormack Park, with a thrilling late winner from Davidson wrapping up all three crucial points.
