Signing her first professional contract in the summer, Ellis had already established herself as an important figure in Hibernian before handling the official commitment to full-time football.
A player capable of playing anywhere in the midfield as well as at the back, Ellis’ flexibility is second to none. Her endurance and passing vision ensure that she’s been a mainstay in the matchday squads since her debut in 2016.
Since that point, Ellis has made over 150 appearances for Hibernian, received a standing ovation at Easter Road in front of a record-breaking crowd upon reaching the milestone, and won the club’s Player of the Year Award at the end of the 2021/22 season.
Putting her teaching career on hold since signing her latest deal, if ‘Miss Notley’ decides to return to the classroom in the future, it is feasible she might be responsible for schooling our club’s next rising star…
