Poppy Lawson signed her first professional contract when she arrived in Leith in the summer of 2022.

She arrived from Manchester United after captaining the Red Devil’s U21’s side to the FA WSL Academy League title in her final season, despite only being aged 18.

While her natural position is in the heart of defence, she has on occasion deputised at full-back. Combine this flexibility with her age and physical traits, and you’ll find an invaluable member of the squad. A vocal presence on the field, she’s also likely to rub off on some of the older members of the team…
