Gallantes

Few players make their international debut before their first team bow.

That's the unique honour held by attacking winger Yrick Gallantes, who has now featured for the Phillipines national squad on several occasions.

Gallantes, who has lived in Edinburgh for the majority of his life after his family emigrated from South-East Asia, spent the 2020/21 campaign in his homeland with the newly-formed Azkals Development Team - which effectively sees the national Under-23 side compete in the domestic top flight.
