Bio

Stand out cinch Premiership performances, capped by Wales, and experience in Europe - Dylan Levitt is a Welsh Wizard!

Born in Bodelwyddan, Wales on 17 November 2000, Dylan’s football career started at the age of eight when he was signed by Manchester United. He progressed through the Red Devils’ youth ranks and shone in their Under-18s scoring nine and setting up eight in 38 games, going on to sign a pro deal in April 2018.

He continued to impress with their Under-21s and was offered a new deal in November 2019 before going on to make his debut for the Club later that month. Handed his first start by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, he featured for 90 minutes in the UEFA Europa League against Astana.

The following season, he went out on loan for the first time; for the first half of the 2020/21 campaign, he joined Charlton Athletic in the third-tier of English football, before making the switch to the Croatian top-flight with Istra 1961.

During his time in Croatia, he helped Istra 1961 reach their National Cup final, but they were unfortunately beaten by Dinamo Zagreb.

The 2021/22 campaign then saw his switch to Scottish football as he joined Dundee United on loan.

Immediately catching the eye, Levitt played an integral role in firing the Terrors into Europe scoring six goals.

Coming deep to dictate play and help Dundee United transition through the final third, the 22-year-old reportedly averaged 1.29 key passes, 5.59 deep progressions (passes and carries into the opposition final third) and 1.71 passes into the box in his first season — all well above the Premiership average for central midfielders.

Last season also saw his second taste of the European football as he featured in their UEFA Europa Conference League games against AZ Alkmaar.

In his 62 outings for Dundee United, Levitt scored 11 goals and set up four, which means he had a goal contribution that was just shy of 1 in 4.

On the international front, the playmaker represented Wales from U17 level all the way to the senior national team. It was in May 2019 when he gained his first call up, before making his debut in September 2020 in a Nations League win over Finland.

A taste of major international tournaments followed coming on in Wales’ 1-0 defeat to Italy in Euro 2020 and being named in Wales’ squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
