Bio

A stalwart of the Club capable of playing in midfield and defence, Ellis Notley is a role model to all young Hibees out there!

Notley joined the Girls Academy aged 13 and, after working her way through the youth ranks, she made her Hibs debut in 2016.

The versatile defender’s Champions League debut came on 22 August 2017 in a 5-0 victory over Welsh club Swansea City.

Notley was a part of five cup final-winning Hibs Women squads across seven domestic cup triumphs between 2016 and 2019. She would also net the opener in our 9-0 SWPL Cup final victory over Celtic in 2018.

Over the years, Notley has made over 225 appearances in green and white, becoming a squad leader – leading to her appointment as vice-captain at the beginning of the 2024/25 season.

Notley’s 200th Hibernian outing came in an away league visit to Rangers in March 2024 – coincidentally, this was the same match Joelle Murray and Poppy Lawson reached 500 and 50 appearances for the Club, respectively.

Despite having to overcome injury struggles throughout the 2024/25 campaign, Notley played an integral part in Hibernian Women’s first ScottishWomen’s Premier League title triumph in 18 years.

On the international stage, Notley made a dozen appearances for Scotland across the Under-17 and Under-19 youth levels.
