Bio

It’s difficult to write a biography about Joelle and not include something that hasn’t already been said about the Women’s team's greatest-ever servant.

Entering her third decade at the club this season, no player's credentials quite match those that Joelle can boast. She’s played a crucial role in an overwhelming majority of our league and cup successes since making her debut for ‘Hibernian Ladies in 2004. Voted as Captain of our best XI last season as part of the Hibs 25 event – she has well and truly won it all!

When she’s not on the pitch, chances are you’ll find her talking up her team-mates on BBC ALBA, or on the touchlines, ensuring she still has a hand in developing the newest batch of young talent at the club whilst also ensuring she’s still contributing on the field.

Taking charge and scoring the club’s first competitive goal of the season in our 4-1 victory against Montrose, Joelle’s first full 90 minutes this season came in our 4-0 victory against Hamilton and proved that she still has the hunger to succeed.

With almost half a century of international caps behind her, a goal against Northern Ireland and travelling as part of the European Championship AND World Cup squads in 2017 and 2019 respectively; she’s a real commanding presence – and shows no signs of slowing down quite yet.
