Bio

Joelle Murray is a Hibernian legend now taking her first steps into full-time coaching.

Murray bid farewell to a 20-year playing career at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Playing over 500 matches for Hibernian and accruing nearly a half-century of Scotland caps, Murray is a one-club Scottish football great.

The former defender played her part in two league title triumphs and lifted 12 domestic cups during her two-decade Hibs playing career. Murray was also the first Hibs player to sign a landmark professional contract with the Club.

The bonafide Hibernian FC legend had previous experience in both First Team and Academy coaching, and management on an interim basis, before hanging up her boots and now has a key role in Grant Scott’s coaching staff as well as having a hand in Hibs Women’s recruitment processes.

In her first season in full-time coaching, Murray secured her third Scottish Women’s Premier League winners’ medal as she played a key role in Hibs Women’s historic 2024/25 Scottish Women’s Premier League title-winning campaign.
