Bio

Former Aberdeen starlet Mya Christie signed for the club last summer and quickly became an integral part of Grant Scott’s side in the 2023/24 season.

A modern-day wingback capable of putting in a shift on either side, Christie has already played an integral role in our numerous cup and derby victories across her maiden season.

Starting her career in her native Aberdeen, she had a breakout season in her final year with the Dons - making 29 appearances across the 2022/23 season, scoring 2 goals in the process whilst mainly played as a winger.

She transferred to Hibernian in the summer of 2023 and became Grant Scott’s first summer signing. In only her second appearance for the club, she scored a terrific curling strike in our 4-1 victory against Montrose which was a contender for our annual Goal of The Season Award.

Despite her attacking instincts, our number 3 has seamlessly transitioned to playing a much deeper role in Edinburgh and could often be found helping out on the defensive front. Despite her age, she shown terrific tactical awareness and great versatility to adapt to her new role.

Already familiar with many of her fellow peers thanks to her numerous youth call ups, Christie has attained nine caps for Scotland’s numerous youth age groups - with her latest coming after graduating to the U23s, where she played alongside Hibs teammates Tegan Bowie and Abbie Ferguson.
