Bio

American shot-stopper Noa Schumacher has signed a one-year extension to remain with the Hibees for another year!

Born in Torrance, California just one day shy of the new millennium on 31 December 1999, Schumacher atypically began her football career as both a goalkeeper and a forward as she progressed throughout her school years.

It would not be until college loomed that Schumacher would dedicate herself to donning the gloves for the rest of her career.

After four years experience at California State University, Fullerton, Schumacher would keep eight clean sheets in 19 games on her way to winning the Western Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Year award in her final year with the California Baptist University.

Schumacher switched The Golden State for Leith in Summer 2024, and immediately joined up with the team as they headed off to Alicante, Spain, for their 2024/25 pre-season training camp.

Competing for the starting goalkeeper spot with Glasgow City loanee Erin Clachers, Schumacher would start the first three games of the Hibees’ title-winning league campaign – keeping two clean sheets and conceding just one in three important matches.

Across the entire campaign, our keeper kept an incredible 11 clean sheets in 18 matches across all competitions. This included shut-outs in our Sky Sports Cup Semi-Final win over Aberdeen, as well as crucial run-in matches versus Celtic, Glasgow City, Rangers, and Rangers (again).

During that final stretch to the league title, Schumacher excelled – recording four clean sheets in our final seven league matches – including a strong performance on the final day at Ibrox to ensure we lifted our first title in 18 years.
