Established in 2004, the Hibernian Historical Trust is a proactive initiative that works to protect, celebrate and share the rich heritage of Hibernian Football Club.
Formed voluntarily by a group of supporters, the legally recognised Trust has been created independently from Hibernian Football Club, yet with the clubs full backing, ensuring a strong and supportive relationship.
Since its formation in Edinburgh's Cowgate area in 1875, Hibernian Football Club has been at the forefront of the Scottish game, often leading to many innovative developments. From its humble beginnings in St Mary's Street, a rich seam of tradition, heritage, and drama has coursed through the club's veins, a legacy to be proud of.
The Hibernian Historical Trust strives to preserve this diverse history and promote the club's unique roots to a broader audience.
How To Contribute
The operation of the Hibernian Historical Trust would not be possible without your support.
Hibernian Historical Trust is an independent charity formed as a supporter initiative in 2004. It has the club's full backing to collect, exhibit and preserve the historical artefacts and heritage of Hibernian Football Club.
The Trust receive no consistent financial support and, as such, raise all its revenue through organised fundraising events and the generosity of interested supporters. If you are in a position to help, the Trust would greatly appreciate your support.

We actively strive to grow our collection of artefacts and memorabilia to preserve the Club’s heritage for future generations.
We appreciate a wide range of items. Photographs can be scanned and returned.

Monetary Donations
As we are responsible for generating the Trust’s funds in order to achieve our aims, we are always grateful to receive financial assistance from individuals, supporters’ clubs and businesses.
As a registered charity (No. SC052095) the Gift Aid scheme run by the government allows the Trust to reclaim 25% tax on every eligible donation from a UK taxpayer, making each donation go further.
